“That’s us, Potter and Malfoy”
I don’t know what this is, blame Cass.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Scorpius is definitely the big spoon. They never really decided on anything but it’s just how it’s been from day 1.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Going out and playing quidditch or just hanging around home and relaxing.
It had been exactly two weeks since Scorpius’s world had come crashing down and the love of his life had basically vanished off the face of the earth. He had tried everything he could think of and asked almost half the school and everyone he knew if they had any clue where Albus was, he even asked the ministry if they could trace Albus but the Ravenclaw boy had thought well, only using magic in towns full of other wizarding people.
One Sunday morning, when Scorpius was about to give up hope, Lily Potter tapping him on the shoulder interrupted his thoughts. Her eyes were red and puffy, but there was also a look of relief in them. Scorpius didn’t even need to ask to know what had happened; instead he grabbed his coat and wand off the table as he stood. “Where is he?”
In which Scorpius comes out to his parents and they don’t accept him. [Albus already has]
To say Scorpius was nervous about going home to the Malfoy Manor for the Easter holidays was an understatement. Terrified might be a better word to use. He had decided to tell his parents about him and Albus over the week-long break to give it enough time to sink in before they would come back to Hogwarts and actually be together, in every sense of the word. By then his parents would have accepted that was what he wanted and the fact he wasn’t going to change just to gain approval and hopefully he would be able to stop living the lie to their parents.
“I’ll owl you as soon as I tell them,” Scorpius told Albus quietly as they pulled into King’s Cross Station. “I’ll see you in a week…love you,” he grinned, giving the Ravenclaw boy a soft kiss, before pulling his bag down and hurrying off the train, locating his parents a few meters from the Potter’s. Oh how that’s all about to change, he thought, amused at the fact his father and Harry Potter might actually have to be civil.
“Hey Dad,” Scorpius grinned, ignoring his fathers disapproving look as his eyes landed on the Gryffindor scarf wrapped around his sons neck. The same scarf Scorpius made sure to wear constantly, making sure his family knew that he wasn’t one of them.
“Should we go home? I um…I kind of have something I need to tell you,” the blonde suggested, adding on the last part in a quiet voice. You can do this, he told himself. Better now then never, right?
“Very well,” Draco nodded, taking hold of Scorpius upper-left arm, Astoria clasping her son’s hand before they all disapparated from the platform, arriving at the end of a long drive way. Scorpius couldn’t help the sigh that left his mouth. Here he was, once again, stuck in the dreary old Manor; full of it’s blood purist artefacts and paintings. Stuck with his mother and father.

“So what was it you wanted to tell us?” Draco asked once the three were seated in the Malfoy’s living room.
Scorpius took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. Well this is it. “I- I met someone…” he started, his voice shaky with nerves. Scorpius glanced up briefly at his parents to see if they had reacted, their faces just blank, although slightly confused, obviously waiting for more. “It’s um…it’s a Potter…” he started slowly, this time not needing to look up to know the exact expressions on their faces.
His mother’s face would be indifferent, having not known any of the “Golden Trio” personally, with a faint hint of anger and disgust from what has been rubbed off from his father, whose facial expression would be completely the opposite.
This had been the thing he was most nervous about. Telling his dad who it was, despite the gender. The fact that his son was dating a Potter was probably going to be worse news to Draco Malfoy then the fact his son was gay.
“Did you just say you are dating a Potter?” Draco asked, his voice toneless in an attempt to not hurt his son, although his face showed all the disapprovement.
“Y-yes,” Scorpius nodded, picking at a loose thread in his jumper, taking a deep breath before looking up, staring his father directly in the eyes. “And nothing you say is going to change that,” he said in a firm tone, not letting his dad speak. “Because…because I love…I love him,” he mumbled, all his confidence gone as he muttered the last word, his eyes focused on the beetle that was making it’s way across the floor.
An awkward silence filled the Malfoy’s living room, neither Draco nor Astoria being able to say anything in response to their son’s declaration. “Could you err…could you say something?” Scorpius mumbled, glancing up at his parents, who were both looking at him strangely.
“Mum?” he asked in a quiet voice, turning slightly towards her, reaching out towards her, as if she needed comfort. Scorpius felt sick as his mother recoiled her hand away from his reach, as if he was diseased. “I… mum, I’m still the same person, I’m still your son” he pleaded, his vision blurring slightly. Out of his parents he was expecting a reaction like this from his father, not one from his mother.
“No you aren’t,” Astoria replied quietly, staring at Scorpius with an immense look of disgust. “No son of mine would have grown up to be a dirty faggot.”
Scorpius didn’t know what to say to that. Of all people, the one that had treated him the worst since he and Albus came out was his mother. “I- I’m not just some dirty…” Scorpius shuddered, shaking his head. “You’re my mum. You’re meant to love me unconditionally, whatever happens.”
Instead of answering, Astoria stood up, not looking at Scorpius as she walked over to stare out the window.
“Dad…” Scorpius said in a quiet, hopeful voice, turning to his father, whose face was void of all emotions. “You don’t- you’re not angry, are you?”
“I’m…disappointed,” Draco admitted, ringing his fingers together in discomfort. “Are you sure it’s not just a phase you are going through? How do you know you well…how do you know you love him?” he asked quietly.
“Because I just do,” Scorpius replied in a small voice, looking over at his mother when she made a noise of disgust.
“Maybe it would be best if you go to bed, Scorpius,” the Blonde Gryffindor heard his dad speak up from behind him. “We can talk about your…situation in the morning.”
“Fucking hell,” Scorpius muttered, shaking his head as he stood. “You know what? I don’t think I want to talk about my “situation” in the morning,” he snapped, making air quotations around the word. “I’m your son, it shouldn’t even be a situation, let alone a problem.” Scorpius sighed, looking from his mother, whose eyes were narrowed and lips pursed as she glared out the window, and his father who looked conflicted. “Sure dad, if you want to take her side and think of me as scum then sure. I’ll leave. I’ll go to Albus’s because unlike you the Potter’s are actually good parents. They don’t give a shit that he is in love with a guy or that that guy is a Malfoy because they are his family, and they love him and they accept him because that is what family’s are meant to do. I just…I thought you were more then that…both of you.”
At this Scorpius turned, wiping furiously at his eyes to rid of the tears that were starting to gather, before grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. “I’ll be back when you decide to actually act like my parents,” he told them, his voice void of emotion, although slightly shaky, as he took a handful of floo powder and threw it into the fire, before stepping into the flames and disappearing, soon to arrive in the fire place in Albus’s room, startling the Ravenclaw boy.
“Scorp?” Albus said in surprise, standing up from where he was settled on the bed and crossing over to where is boyfriend stood in obvious distress.
“She…she called me a… she, she said I was dirty and a- a faggot,” he mumbled, the last word barely more then a breath, his vision blurring. “And that I- that I wasn’t her son anymore…I- it didn’t go well at all…I just…can I stay here?”
“Yea, of course,” Albus nodded, feeling his heart break slightly as he wrapped his arms around Scorpius comfortingly, pulling him close. “As long as you need… I’ll be here and…and so will mum and dad.”
“Thank you,” Scorpius whispered, resting his head on the other boy’s shoulder, “I just…I don’t know. I wasn’t expecting that from her… And dad…he just, he took her side and said we would talk about it in the morning, but I didn’t want to…I hope you don’t mind that I came,” he mumbled into the crook of Albus’s neck. “I can leave if you want,” he added on, pulling away from Albus and wiping his eyes.
“No…I’ll go talk to dad…you can stay as long as you want,” Albus replied quietly, squeezing Scorpius’ hand in comfort. “It’ll be okay. I promise.”
“Thank you,” Scorpius sighed, leaning in to give Albus a soft kiss, resting his forehead on the Ravenclaw’s once he had pulled away. “God I love you,” he whispered without thinking, a small smile making it’s way onto his face for the first time since he had gotten of the train. “And you know what? I think it will.”
